# Jason Johnson's Public Knowledge Base
Welcome. This site collects a few self-contained projects I've documented well enough to share. Each one below has its own home page — start there for the full guide.
## 🛠️ Software Development Setup
Complete, opinionated guides to setting up a machine for software development — Git, a terminal (Ghostty), Starship, VS Code, and Claude Code, plus per-language guides for Python, C, Ruby, Go, and Rust, each ending with a small project so you can confirm the toolchain end to end. Includes guides for Apple Silicon with Tahoe, Ubuntu 26.04, Fedora Workstation 44, and Windows 11.

## 📒 Obsidian Activity Tracking System
A self-building knowledge base for everything you do — emails, tasks, calls, meetings — and everyone those activities involve: people, projects, organizations, and classes. You log each interaction once as a small linked note, and the system assembles every timeline for you. The guide covers the folder structure, templates, and Dataview queries from scratch, plus optional Apple Mail and Todoist automations.
